The project saw a reinforced concrete bridge, clad with locally sourced natural stone, introduced into the traditional surroundings of the distillery as well as the re-alignment of the public road.

Glenlivet bridge and access road

Historic style to enhance visitor experience

The bridge was designed by architects Archial Norr in the style of The Glenlivet’s brand signifier – the historic packhorse bridge that spans the River Livet – and will form the entrance to the Visitor Centre.

The Bridge formed part of a wider programme of works taking place at the Glenlivet Distillery which have enhanced the production facilities and the visitor experience.

The three-arch bridge saw a team of 20 expert engineers, surveyors and tradesmen work to erect the structure over a 20 week work programme.
